New Year, New Theme!

The last time we changed themes around here was over a year ago! Although I like the previous one a lot (it might’ve been love at first sight! LOL) but it’s time for a change right? Looking at it now though, it’s not all that different. 😛 I actually started working on a dark theme and it was already 90% done but changed my mind… such a flake!

Overall, I’m too lazy these days to make too many drastic theme changes, but the banner and menu is giving me some grief. The menu looks weird on a smartphone, but I’m not sure how many people visits with a smartphone anyway? Plus the admin bar right up the top of the page is in the wrong place, but I’m the only one who sees that anyway so I’ll just have to deal with it!

A couple of things I still need to do:

  • Had to disable the floating menu for now, need to fix the position issues.
  • Same for the banner – I think the bottom gets cut off in different browser sizes…
  • Possibly a floating ‘Return to Top’ arrow / button, especially when the menu is not fixed at the top of the page!

If you see anything weird – let me know!

And finally… because I haven’t really been keeping up with Bolin’s news, but his new movie Miss Granny / 20 Once Again is showing in Australia!!! I need to see it NOW!

I realize that when I turn on my adblock extension, I’m always unable to see your top banner, haha! Anyways, congrats on the new change, I like the featured post slider, I find this new look more user-friendly than the previous theme. Is this a customized theme?

That is interesting! Although it kinda makes sense since if it was an advertising banner it would be done a similar way. Does it happen to other sites you visit?

The font is so big though haha, good for my ageing eyes. The theme is a free one, I just made a couple of changes like the banner and colours.

It doesn’t happen to me on koalasplayground and dramabeans. But it also blocked your previous theme’s banner (I didn’t even realize your theme had a banner until I accidentally clicked on pause adblock, ha!)

I like this theme better than your other one. Although I don’t recall how your other one look like but this theme seems more pleasing to the eye.

20 Once Again is also showing in the USA. I watching it tomorrow with a friend. Hooray for Bolin!!

Oh You brave soul! My theme has been the same since 2012. LOL. I can’t get the courage nor heart to change it!

Love how big the font is now. 🙂

Awww you do get attached to a theme!!! Although you have so many banners I see a different banner everytime I visit. 😀

Oooo, only just realised that you changed up your theme! I like it (: It’s much more user-friendly than your previous one and I like the light colours here (: I still have so much to do for my blog, lol, such as getting a rotating header which I just never got around to doing. BTW, can I ask what is the widget that you have with the RSS Feed, Tumblr, Twitter, Dramalist and Mail called?

I want to watch Miss Granny too! Apparently it’s really good and lives up to the Korean version.

Thanks for your kind comment! 🙂 That one is just a text widget, I downloaded the icons from an icon site (may have been iconsarchive but there’re so many free ones out there…) and just coded them next to each other, the old fashioned way.

Yeah it was on a few weeks ago in Australia but I missed it. 🙁 I think they worked hard to differentiate from the Korean version even though it’s the same script.
